Main components
Refrigerant circulation system
- It contains four key components: compressor, air-cooled finned condenser, expansion valve and evaporator.
- The compressor acts as the power source, compressing low-temperature low-pressure refrigerant gas into high-temperature high-pressure gas.
- The finned condenser, matched with axial cooling fans, dissipates heat of refrigerant directly to ambient air.
- The expansion valve throttles and reduces pressure of refrigerant and adjusts flow rate.
- The evaporator is a heat exchanger where refrigerant absorbs heat from chilled water to cool the water. Auxiliary components include oil separator, filter drier, liquid receiver, check valves and pressure gauges.
Chilled water circulation system
It comprises circulating water pump, insulated water tank, pipelines, valves, water filter and flow switch. The pump delivers chilled water to process equipment and returns warmed water back to the evaporator for re-cooling.
Electric control and safety system
It includes PLC or microcomputer controller, temperature and pressure sensors, together with multiple protective devices: high/low pressure protection, anti-freeze protection, motor overload, phase loss and phase reversal protection, over-temperature protection and safety valves.
