Caution

The intake conditions need to be well controlled
Compressed air must undergo effective pre-filtration and oil/water removal treatment to minimize the entry of liquid water and oil mist into the dryer.
The inlet air temperature should not exceed the equipment’s rated value. Higher temperatures generally reduce the adsorption capacity of the adsorbent.
Note that the inlet air pressure should not be consistently lower than the equipment’s design pressure; otherwise, it will affect the regeneration effect and the dew point of the finished product air.
If there is an air receiver tank after the air compressor, it is recommended to properly install the tank and drainage device to prevent large amounts of condensate from directly entering the dryer.
Liquid water impact is a major concern for adsorption dryers, especially during start-up, shutdown, or when the air compressor is first started.
Don't rush to put it under full load when you turn it on
It is recommended to operate according to the equipment manufacturer’s startup sequence: Air compressor → Air tank/filter → Dryer → Downstream air-consuming equipment.
After startup, observe:
Whether the two towers are working alternately normally;
Whether the switching valve is functioning normally;
Whether the regeneration tower is depressurizing normally;
Whether the exhaust silencer has any obvious abnormalities;
Whether the working pressure is stable;
Whether the dew point gradually reaches the required level.
Especially when restarting after a shutdown, if there is still pressure inside the equipment, do not arbitrarily operate the valves to force a switch.


Check if the switching between the two towers is normal
A heatless adsorption dryer typically uses one adsorption tower and another regeneration tower, switching periodically.
Under normal circumstances, the process should follow a relatively consistent pattern:
Adsorption → Depressurization → Regeneration → Pressurization → Switching
If the following occurs, close inspection is required:
Significantly abnormal switching time;
Persistent pressure imbalance between the two towers;
Failure of the regeneration tower to depressurize properly;
Frequent valve operation or incomplete valve operation;
Abnormal exhaust noise;
Significant pressure surge during switching.
The switching valve is one of the most critical and vulnerable components of a heatless dryer.
