This twin-tower desiccant dryer adopts pressure swing adsorption with micro-heated regeneration. It removes water vapor from compressed air to achieve stable low pressure dew point (-40℃). Compared with heatless type, it features lower purge air consumption and better energy efficiency. Two adsorption towers work alternately to ensure continuous supply of dry compressed air, widely applied in machinery, electronics, chemical and food industries.

Notes

Regeneration system

Heating temperature: Standard 120~150℃, strictly no higher than 180℃;
If the temperature is too low: moisture won’t fully come off, and adsorption capacity keeps dropping;
If the temperature is too high: heating elements burn out faster, seals age, and alumina can fail due to sintering.

Regeneration air volume: keep it at 7%~10% of the rated amount, use a needle valve for precise adjustment; too little air gives poor regeneration, too much wastes compressed air and spikes energy use.

Regeneration exhaust back pressure: exhaust pressure <0.025MPa; high back pressure usually means the silencer is clogged, so clean or replace it right away.

Pressure Difference and Dew Point Judgment

Pressure drop across the twin towers: Normal drop ≤0.05MPa. If the pressure difference keeps increasing, it could mean the adsorbent is clumping or the filter screen is clogged.
Dew point of the pressure: Under normal conditions, it’s stable at -40℃ to -70℃. If the dew point slowly rises over time, first check for: valve leakage, insufficient regeneration, failure of the pre-filter, or adsorbent powdering/toxification.

Valves and control systems

Check if the programmable valve and solenoid valve switch smoothly, without any sticking or unusual noises; Use soapy water to check for leaks: bubbles on the tower, pipes, or valve assemblies mean air leakage. Internal leaks can cause air mixing, increased air consumption, and drying failure.
